Need
to Know Vignettes
Boost Metabolism, Lose Weight - exercise
during the winter months takes on added benefit
Winter Ice Dangers - that ice might look inviting
for winter sports, but if it's on a lake it could be a killer
Handling Stress - doctors have tips on how to make
life more manageable and your emotions less liable to swings by handling daily
stress
Nosebleeds - that convention wisdom of a tissue up
the nose isn't the best option during winter, when it's cold and dry and nasal
passages are at particular risk.
Flu Restrictions - it's no surprise hospitals and
public places take an extra effort to protect themselves against the flu bug,
especially with children carrying the bugs into hospitals during visiting
times.
Snow Shovel Health - it takes a strong heart to
survive a northeast Ohio winter, but even the strongest heart needs help when
shoveling snow.
Snow Thrower Safety - rule number one: snow
throwers can throw more than snow, like hands and fingers. Rule number two:
avoid putting hands and fingers into machines. Rule number 3: see rule number
1.
